How to use Amitone Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amitone 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Amitone Tablet works
Amitone 10 mg Tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating mood and treat depression. It also stops the movement of pain signals from nerves to the brain thereby relieving neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

Use of Amitone 10 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What if you miss a dose of Amitone Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Amitone 10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
