How to use Amitril Plus Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amitril Plus 12.5 mg/5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Amitril Plus Tablet works
Amitril Plus 12.5 mg/5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amitriptyline and Chlordiazepoxide, which treats depression. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Pregnancy

Lactation

Driving

Kidney

Amitril Plus 12.5 mg/5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Amitril Plus 12.5 mg/5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
