How to use Amocin Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amocin 500 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Amocin 500 mg Capsule is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Consuming alcohol with Amocin 500 mg Capsule does not cause any harmful side effects.
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Amocin 500 mg Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Amocin 500 mg Capsule is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Amocin 500 mg Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Amocin 500 mg Capsule can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Amocin 500 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amocin 500 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Amocin 500 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amocin 500 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine
