Introduction of Angised Tablet Angised 0.5 mg Tablet is a medicine used in management of angina (heart-related chest pain) caused due to narrowing of blood vessels of the heart. It is only useful in preventing an episode of angina and does not work well once the chest pain has already started. This medicine should be used along with lifestyle changes like healthy diet, regular exercise, and smoking cessation for best results. It must be taken strictly as per the dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor. It should not be stopped abruptly. It may cause dizziness and headache as side effects initially, which improve with time. Angised Tablet side effects Common Headache Lightheadedness How to use Angised Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Angised 0.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. How Angised Tablet works Angised 0.5 mg Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain). Angised Tablet related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE Consuming alcohol while taking Angised 0.5 mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction). Pregnancy SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Angised 0.5 mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. Lactation SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Angised 0.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Driving UNSAFE Angised 0.5 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Kidney SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Angised 0.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Angised 0.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Liver CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR There is limited information available on the use of Angised 0.5 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor. What if you miss a dose of Angised Tablet? If you miss a dose of Angised 0.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
