Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule is a medicine used in management of angina (heart-related chest pain) caused due to narrowing of blood vessels of the heart. It is only useful in preventing an episode of angina and does not work well once the chest pain has already started. This medicine should be used along with lifestyle changes like healthy diet, regular exercise, and smoking cessation for best results. It must be taken strictly as per the dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor. It should not be stopped abruptly. It may cause dizziness and headache as side effects initially, which improve with time.

How to use Angispan Capsule TR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Angispan Capsule TR works
Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).

Alcohol
UNSAFE
Consuming alcohol while taking Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

What if you miss a dose of Angispan Capsule TR?
If you miss a dose of Angispan - TR 2.5 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
