Introduction of Bpzide Tablet Bpzide 12.5 mg Tablet is a type of diuretic (water pill). This medicine reduces excess fluid levels in the body and is used to treat edema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease. It is also used in treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It makes you lose excess water through urine. This medicine should be taken only during day time to avoid frequent urination at night. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. Dizziness and headache may occur as side effects initially, but these improve with time. Bpzide Tablet related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Bpzide 12.5 mg Tablet Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Bpzide 12.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Driving UNSAFE Bpzide 12.5 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
