Introduction of TOR Tablet
TOR 100 Tablet is a type of diuretic (water pill). This medicine reduces excess fluid levels in the body and is used to treat edema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease. It is also used in treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a rapidly-acting medicine that makes you lose excess water through urine. This medicine should be taken only during day time to avoid frequent urination at night. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. Dizziness and headache may occur as side effects initially, but these improve with time.

How to use TOR Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. TOR 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How TOR Tablet works
TOR 100 Tablet is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.

Alcohol
UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with TOR 100 Tablet Taking Torsamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
TOR 100 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
TOR 100 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
TOR 100 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
TOR 100 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of TOR 100 Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of TOR 100 Tablet should be avoided in case you are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines.
Liver
CAUTION
TOR 100 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of TOR 100 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if you miss a dose of TOR Tablet?
If you miss a dose of TOR 100 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
