How Xmetor Tablet SR works Xmetor 10mg/1000mg Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and metformin which treat diabetes associated with high blood cholesterol levels. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Metformin is a biguanide which decreases the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin. Xmetor Tablet SR related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Xmetor 10mg/1000mg Tablet SR Taking metformin with alcohol can cause lactic acidosis and you may experience malaise, respiratory distress, slow or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, stomach upset, or other unusual symptoms. Pregnancy UNSAFE Xmetor 10mg/1000mg Tablet SR is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
